offline.cacher: The general rule reviewers use to archive a cache is that the cache owner has been notified (through a log entry) by the reviewer and that no response has been forthcoming. This is the case with this cache. As a result it has been archived.
If the owner would like to discuss this issue, please contact me through my geocaching.com profile. Include the GC code for the cache.

Geocache Description:

This cache memorializes the longest measured home run in major league history.

This cache is in Byron Avenue Park, a Fairfax County Park with open placement. Park hours are Dawn to Dark, so do not attempt this cache at night.

Terms for home runs include: big fly, blast, bomb, circuit clout, dinger, ding-dong, donger four-bagger, four-base knock, funk blast, goner, gonzo, homer, long ball, moonshot, quadruple, round-tripper, shot, slam, swat, tape-measure shot, tater, and wallop.

Mickey Mantle hit a home run that was measured to go 660 feet. The mightly hit occured in Washington, DC's Griffith Stadium when the New York Yankees were playing the Washington Senators.

Since this park does not have a Giffith Stadium, we placed this cache 660 feet from home plate of Yankee Stadium...Mantle's team.

When you find the cache take a look back at home plate to see how far the hit actually went.
