We will gather at the shelter at 1pm on Sunday, June 28, 2009 for a carry-in picnic.
This event is open to all who would like to attend. We would like to cover a lot of things. First, we would like to thank all the volunteers that helped out at the GCinOHIO GeoFest. (A big special thank you to Pokerbuzz "Frank and Toni" for all their help!) Next on the agenda: suggestions for maybe doing another GeoFest next year. Next, where would you like to see the GCinOHIO club go from here? Finally, time for some fun doing a poker run - and one for the kids, too!
Poker Run will start at 3pm for those of you unable to join us for lunch.
You will be handed a sheet with 5 waypoints to the poker event caches that will be permanent caches after the event.
In each of these caches you will find envelopes- Please only take ONE. Once you find all 5 caches, return those un-opened envelopes to the event. You will have chance for 2 more cards. You will then open your envelopes to find out what 5 playing cards you have found. Highest hand wins, with 2nd and 3rd place hands awarded too.
Kids can play but will be using Old Maid cards. In this case, the one holding the Old Maid card is the winner!
Prizes will be GCinOHIO GeoFest items.
GCinOHIO will provide the hotdogs, buns, chips, plates and silverware. When you log your intent to attend, please list the number that will attend and what you will be bringing to share.
This event will go on rain or shine since there is a shelter.
