Greatland Reviewer: Hello:

This cache page has been archived due to the lack of response to one or more prior Reviewer Note(s) about issue(s) with the cache and because the Cache Owner has not been online since July 2015. If the owner would like to have the cache unarchived, please contact me through my profile as soon as possible before another cache gets placed nearby.

Please note that unarchiving a cache page requires it to go through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

Geocache Description:

"Up he went and sat upon the ancient chair, feeling like a lost child that had clambered upon the throne of mountain-kings."

As of July 8, 2012, this cache is up and running. As an extra incentive to find it, I cleaned house and filled the cache with the items that I took from the last couple years of searching, mostly in Far North Bicentennial Park. I figure folks might enjoy recognizing old treats... Enjoy!

WARNING! On request of fellow cach-ers, I am adding the following caveat: (SPOILER WARNING)
This cache can be found safely but it is LOCATED ON TOP OF A CLIFF. As such, care should be taken. This is a poor choice for children, poorly behaved pets or folks that are afraid of heights. First and foremost, please get home safely. Thank you. Oh and a pair of work gloves to fend off the devil's club wouldn't hurt either.

And now back to our regularly scheduled program...

This is another beautiful spot that brings forth visions of Tolkien's Middle Earth. In this case the ancient vista above the Anduin river where Frodo sat upon Amon Hen, the Seat of Seeing, the Hill of of the Eye of the Men of Numenor, before the breaking of the Fellowship, and the death of Boromir. The fate of Middle Earth hangs by a thread.

Well, maybe this location isn't all that, but it is beautiful and you should go find this cache. But be warned. No great reward comes without risk, and in this case your payment includes steep, minimally tracked terrain and some thick devil's club. (Not to mention your goal is atop a very high cliff...)
Enjoy, be safe and be bear aware. And moose aware, and porcupine aware too, while you're at it.

Good luck and happy hunting.
