Cumberland Village Museum

This picturesque open-air museum consists of 29 heritage buildings including an operating sawmill, one-room schoolhouse, several farmsteads, a fire hall, a forge, a train station, a church, and more. Moved to the 25-hectare site from various locations in the township, the buildings reflect different cultural, economical and social conditions of the Canadian experience. Visit the Canadian National Railways Station built in 1908 by the Grand Trunk Railway. Stroll through a 19th century Ontario farmhouse or one of the last one-room secular schoolhouses of Eastern Ontario. Photography and filming are not permitted inside historic buildings.
