Geocache Description:

A beautiful location with plenty of wildlife. There is a good tarmaced surface up to the canal bridge for pushchair and the disabled if parking near main road (N51 44.735 W002 17.606), Go through farm and please respect the private road signs, it is however a public footpath. Last 100 yds is canal towpath. Could be combined with "St Cyr's Church Cache, Stonehouse" in which case park outside churchyard (N51 44.618 W002 17.455). WARNING: look after children near the WATERSIDE.

This is a magnetic keysafe microcache container, inside is the log sheet but no pencil. PLEASE MAKE SURE IT IS PUT BACK IN THE SAME FLAT LOCATION. The area has always been known as "The Ocean" and was built with the Stroudwater Canal between 1775 and 1778. The boatman in Severn Trows could tie up for the night before continuing on towards Stroud or back to the River Severn. Please look after the wildlife here, plenty of ducks to feed and the photography is fantastic. Can I please remind you again, Canals and Water can be Dangerous places. Congrats to Amerigo for FTF.
