Bob might not make it but other well know CCC cachers will be at
the picnic.
When: Tuesday, July 7, 5:00 pm
Where: 55 Palisado Avenue, Windsor, CT 06095
Hosts: Katydid and SamtheSoccerDog
With apologies to Bob,
I saw it advertised one day,
Bear Mountain picnic was comin' my way.
"Come along 'n' have a bash,
It’ll be ‘n’ Event Cache
Bring the wife and kids
Bring the whole family."
Yippee!
Yes, we are having a picnic.
You might bring your harmonic.
There’ll be games for the little one’s,
Games for everyone’s
Games for Mom and Dad,
We’ll all be glad.
The activities will include an early evening paddle for those
who can bring canoes or kayaks. Take a lazy trip up the Farmington
River and back to Bart’s. The restaurant’s kitchen closes at 8:00
pm so arrive early if you want to feast on Bart’s Famous Hot Dogs.
You are encouraged to bring a dessert, salad, hors d'œuvre, or your
own beverage. Bring your chair or picnic blanket for the grass.
There are also picnic tables. We’ll have a few games for everyone
to enjoy. It’s a full moon night so maybe a moonlight paddle might
also be in the works.
More details will follow in notes to the cache page. As the
event approaches.
The Central Connecticut Cacher’s Nite Out is an evening
gathering on the first Tuesday of every month (well, most months
anyway). Mark your calendars now! Anyone and everyone is welcome to
attend...you don't have to reside in CT, and you certainly don't
have to be an experienced cacher...new folks are most welcome! Let
us know if this is your first event as we'd like to get
acquainted.
This event features new or rotating hosts every month, and
changing locations. If you have an interest in hosting, please
contact KD&MS. As host, you’ll select a location; get the
coordinates, and copy and paste the event page and resubmit. There
are a number of places in the Greater Hartford area to enjoy good
food and drinks. Locations should be kid friendly, have no
admission fee and be within the Central Connecticut/Greater
Hartford area. Cachers from outside of the area are also encouraged
to host, but we do ask that the event itself be held in the central
CT area.
As always enjoy the adventure.
