Come to Butner and beautiful Lake Holt. We'll be enjoying the dog days of summer beneath some towering oaks. Hot dogs with all the fixings will be on the grill with cake and watermelon to top it off. Lake Holt offers fishing and a boat launch for a small minimal fee. There will be a couple of new caches that are acessible by boat.
The shelter at Lake Holt is screened in to keep the flying insects to a minimum, but if you want to just set up a lawn chair on the grass under the trees, that works well too. The lake surrounds the shelter area - something to keep in mind for those fishing and/or boating. We'll be at the shelter all day. Hot dogs and fixins will be coming off the grill at 4:00 pm.
Bring your bikes along, as Butner has several caches that can be reached easily on two wheels or two feet. There will be a few more caches popping up around event time as well.
