Welcome To The Haunted Corpus Cache
Series
This is the third cache placed in the "Haunted Corpus" series and
is located at the Old Nueces County Courthouse, 901 Leopard St.
Construction on this building began in 1914. Jail cells were placed
on most of the upper floors and there were hanging gallows inside
and outside. It is historical fact that hangings were carried out
here back in the early 1900's, mostly outside but a few
inside.
The story behind this haunting is that of a young boy who went to
the Court House on Halloween night back in the early 1900's. He
walked up to the 10th floor where the hangings took place, walked
over to a window to look at a rope with blood on it, and was thrown
over by an unknown force where he landed on the cement face first.
Investigators found blood from the rope on the window seal where
the young boy tried to hold on. Paranormal activites since then
have included orbs, voices, sounds, and shadows all on the 10th
floor.
Courthouse is not open to public but the Nueces County Historical
Society can arrange tours.
So next time you're at the Court House, or while your searching for
the cache, look up at the 10th floor, maybe you'll see a young boy
"helping your search".
Cache is a bison tube in bushes. Special thanks to Daneill for
pointing out my original coordinate mistake - he made the find by
using the address only.
From cacher logs I feel I should put this in here.
NO NIGHT CACHING - SECURITY FROWNS UPON IT.
STICK WITH DAYTIME BETWEEN 0700-1800
