Geocache Description:

You are looking for a camo wrapped plastic jar. There is plenty of room for larger swag. I recently replace the container and log on 3/8/14. You are on a public county road. The private property sign is for the windmills themselves. Please do-not approach the windmills. This cache is not handicap accessible. Please BYOP.

Welcome to the Snyder Wind Farm. The Snyder Wind project in Scurry County, Texas, comprises 21 Vestas V90 3.0 megawatt wind turbines mounted on towers measuring a record-breaking 345 feet (105 meters). Construction was completed in December 2007. This is the tallest utility-scale wind turbines in the United States. The Snyder project – where the turbine towers are so tall because wind conditions are best at that height -- will produce energy sufficient to power more than 12,000 average Texas homes annually.
