During the early part of June, the women of Crescent Trekkers, Scrabblers & Money Hunter had a cache placing adventure. We google-mapped the area, created some containers, gathered supplies, loaded up the trunk with all things necessary for on-the-spot cache work, and then drove around laughing and talking, imagining and experimenting. This "project" resulted in 16 new caches for our fellow geocachers. We hope you will has as much fun finding the caches as we did putting them out.
If you are driving down route 74, you need to stop, and find this little cache. It is is the first of three caches that will take you to the largest flying American flag in the world! It is not always flying - it is expensive and very heavy - but the pole will be there, and it itself is a marvel. It extends 25 feet into the ground. The flag's stripes are 5 feet wide. It takes a crane to hoist it up the pole.
