Kaposvár Somogy megye székhelye, mintegy 70000 körüli lakossal, egyetemi város, püspöki székhely. Természeti környezete (a Zselic erdői és a Deseda) mellett belvárosában is számos látnivaló található, főtere az egyik legszebb az egész országban. A belvárosban mintegy 220 eklektikus és szecessziós stílusú épület található, ami egész Európában egyedülállónak számít, mivel sehol máshol nincs ilyen kis területen ennyi ilyen épület.

Kaposvár es la ciudad más grande del Condado de Somogy. Tiene una universidad y es una sede episcopal. Además de su entorno maravilloso (por ejemplo las lomas del Zselic y el lago Deseda), su centro tiene también muchos sitios interesantes. Aquí se encuentran aproximadamente 220 edificios construidos en estilo ecléctico: esto es excepcional en todo Europa, porque no hay tantos en una zona tan pequeña en ningún otro lugar. La historia de la ciudad se remonta al siglo XI, cuando un monasterio fue construido en la cima de una loma, que hoy se ubica en el extremo oriente de la ciudad. En el valle del río Kapos también un castillo fue construido, pero este fue destruido más tarde.

Kaposvár is a hungarian city, less than 50 km south of the lake Balaton. Kaposvár has 70000 inhabitants, and it is the political, cultural and economical center of Somogy county.
In 2008 Kaposvár won the "City of the year in Hungary" prize.
The city has a long history, more than 1000 years. An abbey was founded here in 1061 (the ruins of it can be seen now at the top of a hill in the eastern part of the city), later a castle was built, but that was damaged too.
The downtown of Kaposvár is unique in Europe, because there are more than 220 buldings built in eclectic and secessic style, and there is no other town in Europe, where so much buildings of these styles can be found in so small area!
The micro cache is hidden at the main square, outside the church.
