Located at the top of Sokehs Mountain Ridge, these abandoned WWII Japanese anit-aircraft guns are a sight to see.
The high terrain level is due to the fact that the cache is located on the island of Pohnpei in the Federated States of Micronesia. The only way to get there is via United Airline's island hopper from either Guam or Hawaii.The actual hike to the cache is a 3.5 terrain.
Once on Pohnpei, take the road to Sokehs island located at N06 57.391 E158 11.927. After crossing over the bridge, you'll come upon a four-way intersection.
Go straight (not right or left) on the road at N06 57.467 E158 11.678. Follow this road for about 3/4 of a mile. It will start off as a paved road and turn into a narrow gravel road so just keep following it until you reach the parking area at N06 58.049 E158 11.509.
Once you park your vehicle, take in the view of Kolonia village and prepare for your steep hike up the gravel road. I tried to take my car up the road but got stuck less than halfway up due to the loose gravel. It's best to walk it (unless you have a 4wd).
The cache is a hide-a-key magnetic container that is hidden above the knee below the waist. The hints will make sense once you are there. Rely on the hints more than on your GPS as accuracy is questionable in this location. Please make sure that the cache is hidden in such a way that it cannot be seen from either side (as originally placed). Have fun!
