EDI - Railroading Terminology Part I Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Reviewer Revan: Cache Owner (CO) has not responded, so I am regretfully archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking new cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace this cache sometime in the future (not to exceed 10 days from the date of this entry), just contact me (by e-mail), and assuming it still meets the current Guidelines, I will consider unarchiving this cache.

Please be advised this is not a guarantee that this geocache will be unarchived. Many factors will go into my decision. The most important of which is how you responded to geocachers who tried to communicate with you regarding the problem(s) with this geocache hide and how you communicated with me, the Reviewer Revan.

Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates but, once you find it, should be pretty much accessible to all with a short trek over some level grassy ground.

You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.

This is, hopefully, the first in a series of Rail and Train related caches. I've chosen the puzzle format for the first one but, in each case, the cache location will always be connected to rail or train.

The answers to each of these questions is a three digit number:

  • Transportation Automatic Equipment Identification = ABC
  • Train Sheet Information = DEF
  • Rail Carrier Waybill Interchange = GHI
  • Advance Interchange Consist = JKL
  • Rail Waybill Request = MNO
  • Shipment Weights = PQR

Once you have your answers, complete the following

  • U = B - A - C
  • V = E - D - F
  • W = I - G - H
  • X = L - J - K
  • Y = O + N - M
  • Z = P - Q + R

Now take WVU and add it to the decimal portion of the North coordinate and take XYZ and add it to the decimal portion of the W coordinate.

And the rest is easy.
