During the early part of June, The women of Crescent Trekkers, Scrabblers & Money Hunter had a cache placing adventure. We google-mapped the area, created some containers, gathered supplies, loaded up the trunk with all things necessary for on-the-spot cache work, and then drove around laughing and talking, imagining and experimenting. This "project" resulted in 16 new caches for our fellow geocachers. We hope you will has as much fun finding the caches as we did putting them out.
This cemetery is not as old as you would think at first glance. Headstones are not the norm here, some have markers but sadly many are unmarked.
Plots can be seen by the mounds and indentations.
After much searching on line we still have no idea why the graves are like this, seemingly unfinished instead of those in a traditional cemetery.
Gethsemane is a place of great suffering. In the New Testament, a garden east of Jerusalem near the foot of the Mount of Olives. It was the scene of Jesus’ agony and betrayal.
We thought this place was worth a visit to remember the souls of those that have gone before us. Please be respectful as you wander among the graves.
