Embarquez pour un
challenge incroyable : à l'assaut de l'immense caverne de la Balme
Noire, dont les chemins d'accès n'apparaissent pas sur les
cartes... Attention, il s'agit
d'une cache très difficile. Accès impossible par temps humide.
Prévoyez de très bonnes chaussures, des vêtements fermés et un
bâton. Amenez votre stylo ! Cette cache est dédicacée à
vilcanota :P.
Depuis Virignin, garez vous près du point Parking. Le chemin
démarre près de là, derrière un portail ouvert. Sur la route, une
flèche verte indique l'entrée. Continuez le chemin et prenez à
droite dès que possible, jusqu'au point "Début des choses
sérieuses". Le chemin démarre d'ici, file tout droit vers la
grotte. Attention, on signale des ronces, des tiques, et de la
pente !
A environ 100 mètres de la grotte, votre progression sera ralentie
par la pente extrême. Il faudra alors utiliser vos mains, les
arbres et la falaise pour avancer. Et tout à coup... là voilà,
spectaculaire.
Vous constaterez avec surprise que les grimpeurs ont colonisé la
cavité. Si vous en voyez, n'hésitez pas à leur dire ce que vous
faites ici. Ils sont très sympathiques.
Le waypoint
principal indique l'entrée de la grotte, et non pas les coordonnées
de la cache. Celle-ci est plus proche du point de référence "Balme
Noire". Il faudra faire un dernier effort pour la trouver, en
grimpant au point culminant...

Take the tour to an
incredible challenge : assaulting the huge cave of "La Balme
Noire", to where there is no official path. Warning, this is a very difficult cache.
Highly discouraged trip for kids, and in case of wet weather. Take
great shoes with you, as well as closed clothes and a stick.
Please also bring your own pen. This cache is a dedication
to vilcanota :P.
From Virignin, park your car near the Parking waypoint. The first
easy path start from here, behind an open fence. On the road, a
green arrow marks the beginning. Follow the path and take to the
right when you can, until the waypoint "Début des choses sérieuses" ("The
Beginning of the serious things"). The hard-but-only path starts
here, and goes straight to the caves. Warning, there are thorns,
ticks and steep!
About 100 meters from the cave, you are slowed by the extreme
slope. You'll have to use your hands, trees and cliff to succeed.
And eventually... there it is, outstanding.
You might see with surprise that some climbers have taken over the
cave. If you see some, go and tell them why you're here. They are
very nice.
The main coordinates are not the ones of the cache itself. It's
closer to the "Balme noire" reference point. A final effort will be
needed to take the cache, by climbing to the highest point in the
cave...
