Geocache Description:

Welcome to the West End!

Part of the largest remaining unfragmented forest in Scituate,
there are 225 acres of open space preserved in this 450 acre
forest. These lands contribute to the protection of Scituate and
Cohasset's drinking water supply and provide excellent habitat for native wildlife, including species listed by the State as rare and endangered.

Watch for: four-toed salamander, northern leopard frog
(watch-listed), eastern box turtle, spotted turtle, ovenbird, great
crested flycatcher, black and white warbler, red-eyed vireo, veery,
wood thrush, and scarlet tanager, among many others!

The trail capacity is around 2 ½ miles, covering a variety of
ecosystems and habitats for the public to appreciate and
enjoy!

Look for signs for "Carl Pipes Memorial Trail"

Metal cylinder contains:
- Logbook w/ pencil
- Camera
- Various toys
- First finder T-shirt!

Springtime is wet - wear your boots. Don't forget bugspray!
