A hill with a view; easily reachable (car, bike, walks) except for the last few metres, altitude 860 m.
What used to be a popular pilgrimage destination in the 17th and 18th century is now a popular destination for afternoon walks. On a clear day the Sv. Trije Kralji hilltop (Biblical Magi, the Three Wise Men) offers great views, from the nearby picturesque countryside, to Kamnik Alps and all the way to the Julian Alps with Triglav. Several hiking and cycling marked trails lead to the top, including European E-7 trail. It is attractive in all seasons, but a harsh winter can transform it into a fairy tale scene.
The top is reachable by car taking an asphalt road, but it is more fun to leave the car below, and hike to the top.
One km below the top by the road there is a mountain hut, open on Saturdays, Sundays and holiday from May 1st to October 31st.
About 0.5 km below the hilltop by the road and near a school building there is an entrance to a tunnel, leading all the way to the other side of the hill. It was dug in the thirties and belongs to a series of military defense fortification objects known as Rupnik line. During its construction a cave "Jama Sv. Treh Kraljev" was discovered. Access to the tunnel is open, a flashlight is needed.
Not far away to the East there is a small triangular lake Račevsko jezero, another easily accessible destination, offering blueberries and mushrooms in the season, and a swim if you feel like it.
The cache is a 0.8 litre plastic box. The last five metres are steep, the rest of the access is easy. Please do not walk directly across the meadow when grass is tall, land owners may not appreciate it. Best approach is by a short forest path from a small chapel West from the church, reachable by a path crossing the Southern slope of the hill.

Kar je bil v 17. in 18. stoletju priljubljen romarski cilj, je danes popularna izletniška točka. Ob jasnem dnevu sega pogled z Vrha Sv. Treh Kraljev od bližnjih slikovitih gričev do Kamniških Alp in Julijcev s Triglavom. Lepo je ob vseh letnih časih, a ostra zima lahko prelevi pokrajino v pravljično sceno.
Na vrh vodijo številne planinske in kolesarske označene poti. Loška, logaška, notranjska, mladinska planinska pot pridejo prav na Vrh, evropska pešpot E-7 pa potuje preko Lavrovca, zaradi sončne ure – heliografa. Tudi z Lavrovca je razgled ob lepem vremenu enkraten. Še posebej pritegne pogled na Ljubljansko barje. V zadnjem obdobju so na Vrh pripeljali logaško in loško kolesarsko pot. Čez Vrh pa poteka tudi kolesarski žirovski krog.
Vrh je dostopen z avtomobilom po lepi cesti, a bolj zabavno je pustiti avto v dolini in osvojiti vrh v popoldanskem izletu.
Kilometer pod vrhom ob cesti stoji Planinska koča Sv. Treh Kraljev, odprta je ob sobotah, nedeljah in praznikih od 1. maja do 31. oktobra.
Ob cesti, ki vodi na Vrh Sv. Treh Kraljev, nedaleč stran od šolske stavbe, je vhod v umetno izoblikovan vodoraven rov, ki prebije celoten Vrh. Izkopan je bil v tridesetih letih v okviru izgradnje vojaške obrambne Rupnikove linije. (visit link) Pri tem izkopu so naleteli na Jamo Sv. Treh Kraljev, ki je več kot kilometer dolg in 70 m globok splet manjših rovov. Dostop do rova je odprt, za obisk je potrebna svetilka.
Nedaleč proč proti vzhodu se nahaja majhno trikotno Račevsko jezero, ki ponuja v sezoni borovnice in gobe, pa tudi zaplavati se da v njem.
Zaklad je 0.8-litrska posoda iz umetne snovi. Zadnjih pet metrov dostopa do nje je strmih, ostali del dostopa pa je lahek. Kadar je trava visoka ne hodite po njej kar po bližnjici, domačinom gotovo ne bi bilo všeč. Najprimernejši dostop je po kratki gozdni poti od kapelice zahodno od cerkve, do katere vodi pot po južnem pobočju hriba.
