Geocache Description:

Cache is located on the lower portion of the Iron Goat Trail loop but can be accessed from either the Martin Creek Trailhead or the Iron Goat Interpretive parking.

This tunnel or "adit" was built for those working on the railroad to be able to access the center of the twin tunnels, making excavation quicker. It later served as a venilation shaft. You can feel cool air coming from this adit but do not enter the tunnel as it has collapsed and is not safe. This is a great trail system that is very well maintained. You are able to enjoy the history of tunnels, snow sheds, and railway remanents as well as the scenary. See the below website for more information.
