Geocache Description:

A small wooden box carved with our initials and dated with little trinkets in it that kids like to gather.

Took my girls camping with 2 of their friends up to Palomar mountain and decided to try geocaching for our first time. Wanted to leave a treasure box and possibly find one. Well we had no luck finding one on this trail so we decided to leave our own. This famous trail will take you right to the biggest telescope on top of Palomar Mountain. Shorter hike if you hike from the telescope....less than a mile. You might pass a large woodpecker tree. Look for a gathering of mossy rocks and the cache is about 15 feet off of the trail. The cache is made out of wood and would be found in wood.
Bring a pencil to sign your name and also take something and leave something. Good luck!
