This is the Southside Geocachers first eat, meet, and greet! Whether you live in Southside Virginia or just enjoy grabbing a few caches in the area, come and join us for great coffee and food, and even better company!
The event will be held from 6:30-8:00 pm at Daily Grind, on Thursday, July 9, and I'll need an RSVP total to give the owners by July 2. The address is 10 E. Church St.; Martinsville, VA 24112. Parking is available behind the building, on Bridge St., or at the Uptown Martinsville parking lot, at the intersection of Bridge St. and Church St.
I have rated the terrain as 2 because of the stair access from the parking lot behind Daily Grind. For anyone having difficulty with stairs, you may take the sidewalk to the front of the building, where there is handicapped access.
There are a lot of new geocachers in the area, so this is a great opportunity for everyone to put faces to all the names on the logs!
We'll have door prizes, including previously unpublished coordinates to a new cache and even some sneaky containers!
There will still be plenty of time after the event to grab some of the many new caches placed in the area, so if you haven't had a chance to get them before, this would be a great opportunity!
