Det första ångloket som anskaffades 1901, för att frakta diabasen från Hägghult, var byggt i Berlin. Efter ångloket kopplades tre vagnar som kunde ta tre till fyra kubikmeter diabas. Det lilla loket pustade och fräste och ångvisslan hade ett säreget ljud som påminde om en gris som skrek. Därför döptes loket till Hägghultagrisen..

Det første damplokomotiv anskaffedes i 1901 fra Berlin, og skulle transportere diabas fra Hägghult. Toget kunne køre med 3 vogne. Det lille lokomotiv pustede og stønnede og dampfløjten havde en speciel lyd som mindede om en gris der skreg.

The very first steam-engine was acquired to carry the diabase from Hägghult. The engine was built in Berlin. It was connected to three wagons that could hold 4 m3 of diabase. The small engine puffed and blew and the steam whistle had a strange sound that resembled that of a screaming pig. That is why the engine was called The Pig of Hägghult (Hägghultagrisen).
