Near MacKay's Crossing entrance to Queen Elizabeth Park
This traditional cache is almost a drive-by and with careful car
parking can be reached within 100 metres of where you park without
getting your feet wet
MacKay's crossing is a well known point on the journey between the
Kapiti Coast and Wellington. It has been the subject of a major
realignment of the State Highway in recent years.
The cache is accessible when arriving from either North or South
but watch for the Mackay’s Crossing Queen Elizabeth Park exits or
the overrun will be considerable before back tracking. The cache is
adjacent to the underpass tunnel that goes under SH1 and is East of
the railway line and West of SH1.
Please replace cache exactly as you found it.
A short detour into the Park will enable you to catch another
cache or two.
