Coastlands Contemplation (Wellington) Multi-Cache

Coastlands Shopping town is the fifth largest shopping mall in New Zealand and as such deserved a multi cache of some considerable size and requiring a degree of contemplation. After many alterations and destruction of original waypoints this trimmed down version has been reenabled.
Coastlands is located on State Highway 1 in the centre of Paraparaumu.1 hours drive north of Wellington and 25 minutes from Porirua, 35 mins south of Levin.
Coastlands Shopping Town and the Paraparaumu CBD have grown as the population of the Kapiti Coast has grown. In forty or so years a small intersection of shops and surrounding paddocks of farm animals has transformed to what you will stroll around today. Coastlands itself and the “Big Box” retail around the area has expanded as the population has increased as has the Council Offices and other miscellaneous buildings for community groups. Gone are the days of no weekend shopping, half day Wednesdays etc and these days some retail outlets ply their trade well into the night. No WP’s are inside any building so this cache can be completed 24/7.
Car parking can be either in the Coastlands car park near where the original BNZ was (now gone)and subway exit (WP1) or alternatively over the railway (turn East at the lights) then right to the car park and use the subway under SH1 to reach WP1. Clues for WP2 are to be found at the top of the Western subway exit steps.
This multi cache’s waypoints are all within easy walking distance of each other but remember the car parks are full of muggles just waiting to skittle the unwary Geocacher as they compete for car parks before retail therapy. Local shoppers have been known to keep score of unwary geocachers. The local police station is nearby so try not to arouse too much suspicion, although telling the odd muggle what you are doing may promote the sport but please don’t lead them to GZ.
Allow an hour or so depending on how quickly you decode each waypoint and whether or not you detour for coffee or food.
All  original Waypoints have been checked and averaged over several visits but in general using your Geo skills and the hints provided when close to the co-ordinates should identify the waypoint reasonably easily. This reconstituted version awaits a beta check so let me know if you run into an error.
The numerous verandahs, trees and buildings may also have an effect on your GPS.
When open Coastlands mall can be used as a shortcut while traversing as can the stream bank that passes under the mall.
Please use pedestrian crossings, subways and footpaths where appropriate and watch for traffic in the car park areas. Take particular care if following the quest with children as this is a high traffic volume area at times.
