Cache is a recycled fruit jar about 750ml in size
Located on the banks of the Mighty Manning, on Dumaresq Island (pronounced as per the name of the cache) this cache involves a short stroll along the L.C Jordan Bridge.
The bridge was opened to trafiic on November 2nd 1968, which connected the few residents that live on the island to the town of Taree.
There is a footpath on either side of the bridge, and the cache is accessible from either path so there is no need to cross the road. If you take the western footpath you can look upstream and see where the Dawson River (to the north) runs into the Manning. From the Eastern footpath you may catch a glimpse of a Brahimy Kite, a beautiful bird of prey that resides in the area. Bring your rod and tackle as there are plenty of Bream on offer in the river to those piscatorially inclined.
