5th Annual Manhattan Proto-Picnic Event
Saturday August 22nd, 2009 - Converge anytime from 1pm until 5pm (or even all day, some people can't get enough!) - this leaves plenty of time for Central Park caching before, during and/or after.
Hey "Old Timers!" It's the "5th Annual" and there are always several new Central Park caches to be added to your finds!
There are open outdoor tables at the Boathouse Café in Central Park (not the fancy restaurant - we'll be at the little outdoor snack café) and we'll meet there informally for Boathouse Burgers, Sandwiches, Salads and their small selection of other items. It's a "Proto" Picnic because you're not required to bring food, but feel free to do so! And Central Park is "kid friendly" too! Bring along your extra geocoins for trading, I'll have SilverMarc "Cache Stash" Wooden Nickels on hand again this year, and the usual "TB Trade-Offs" can take place too.
So make this a fun opportunity to come into the city, grab those nearby Central Park caches still on your "to do" list, and have a snack and some icy cool beverages with your geocaching brethren, sisteren, and children!
