The cache is a 35mm film pot located at ground level. (It used to be in the roof of the missing Wishing Well.)
The cache is located very near to the old Pevensey Court House and Gaol; the English spelling of Jail.
The Court House and Gaol is a small museum that, I believe, is open to the public most days of the week during the summer. There is a small entrance fee that I think you will find is good value. I seem to reeber it was worth it just to visit the cells on the ground floor.
This cache is also very near to the Smugglers Inn (owned and run by Sandra, Neil and family) which has ample parking, with a large beer garden, and an even larger childrens' adventure playground. This could be the ideal place to stop if you are part-way through a long journey and need to stretch our legs, and those of the younger members of your team, before perhaps heading off to Folkestone / Dover / Newhaven.
The pub is also the location of one of the Waymarks included on the Geocaching.com website.
