Next door to the Huntingdon County Library is the Huntingdon County Historical Society Research Library. This is the place you'd want to be to find lots of facts about the history of our town and neighboring communities. The society also offers genealogical research, guided tours of the McMurtrie House Musuem and other services. You can check on operating hours and learn more by visiting their website, www.huntingdonhistory.org.
Located in the garden area there are a few interesting industrial artifacts of Huntingdon's past and an awesome little house that was built by a local craftsman in 1877.
Note that the cache is not hidden on the house, so look - but don't touch! and dawn-to-dusk searching would be best.
From the garden you can see the large original train station of the town which is no longer used as such, however, if you would like to watch trains while you're here, you'll find benches to sit a bit next to the current, smaller station.

Enjoy!
