Geocache Description:

This cache is not at the posted coordinates.

Will County was formed in 1836 out of Cook, Iroquois and Vermilion Counties. It was named after Dr. Conrad Will, a businessman involved in salt production in southern Illinois, and also a politician. On January 12, 1836, Will County was formed from Cook County and Iroquois County. It included besides its present area, the part of Kankakee County, Illinois lying north of the Kankakee River. Will County lost that area when Kankakee County was organized in 1852, but since then its boundaries have been unchanged.

In 1872 the first Will County Court House was built on this site. The court house has always stood in Joliet. The current location is across the river to the east.

To find the hidden preform tube travel (A)(D-A)(B-A) Degrees and (C)(C+A)(D-A)Feet. Where the year the monument was erected is treated as ABCD. Each set of parentheses are a number. No multiplication necessary. Happy Hunting.
