I've been finding a lot of rock wall hides lately and when I saw
this rock wall I know what I had to do. But this one is different:
those are usually large soil retaining structures with very large
rocks and lots of likely hide holes where the rock corners meet; in
this case, it is an old short rock fence that has a lot of
character and not so many hide spots (and the cache is not hidden
in it).
This simple cache meant to provide some quick entertainment in this
nice little park and trailhead for Snoqualmie Valley Trail. This
location is about 1/2 way from the end of the trail in Duvall and
the other end at Tokul Rd SE where it takes to surface streets for
a while before returning once again to the old railbed; therefore
it makes for a great launch spot if you want to split this portion
of the trail into two bike or hike segments.
This is a log only cache so TB's are not going to fit and be sure
to bring a pen to sign your mark.
