Small camoed container. We think it will be an easy find for
you, but catching the right butterfly is another story.
Post the number of butterflies you tried to catch before
catching the right one.
Switch the "true butterfly" around for the next geocacher. If
you know your Latin, it's the secretus foldedanaus
logiplexippus.
Park hours are 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
"Catching Butterflies" cache was placed for Father's Day in
memory of Summer's dad. Jack loved catching butterflies with his
youngest daughter, Summer. He was a geologist and took core samples
for a mining company for a time. Thus, the hide at Red Rocks Park
for his love for geology.
There's room to pull off to the side of the road on either side
of the cache. It's not much room though, but enough.
The views around Red Rocks Park are spectacular. Enjoy the drive
while picking up other caches in the area.
This cache idea was inspired by FlyBryFly of the Inland
Empire.
Five stones in the original hide. Feel free to take one in
honor of your father.
