Geocache Description:

You can park at the gate and hike (300 yds) in or, IF you come through the gate, PLEASE, LEAVE IT AS YOU FOUND IT!! (this is cattle pasture in the summer) If you take direct route terrain is a 5, the easier route on the back side, toward the east end is a 3.(This is the one I took!) Cache is a camo, screw lid container, approx 6x6x8,pretty easy to spot!

This is the 7th in the Cochetopa Series. I had first named this cache LaGarita Vista because I wanted the you to see the wilderness area by this name in the distant southwest. After getting to the point where I wanted to put the cache...I had to change the name to 360 Vista because you can see FOREVER from this vantage point, 360 degrees. PLEASE, take a few minutes and just look around you!! Have you ever seen anything more beautiful?? This is by far my favorite spot!! If you look south you see Cochetopa Dome, west is Sawtooth Mountain, north is Razor Dome. Far southwest is LaGarita Wilderness (snow capped most of the time) and far northwest is the West Elk Wilderness (also snow capped most of the time). You can see working cattle and sheep ranches to the north, south, and west. The Ute's roamed this country for many years, you could find an arrowhead coming or going! The day I placed this cache I saw a new baby antelope. Keep a look out you may see one too, or a baby elk if the time is right! In September you will see glorious 360* color, and maybe hear a bull elk bugle! Have you figured out yet that I am very partial to this part of Gods country?? Take a few minutes to let me know your thoughts as you look 360!!

Congratulations to cyrus003 - FTF
