This cache falls right next to a pool of water in Crummack beck which in bygone times would be used for "dipping" sheep when gathered off the fells.
It is easily accessed from the village of Austwick or hamlet of Wharfe and is situated on part of the pennine bridleway.
The "dubs" also has 2 very nice "Clapper Bridges". there is a bench if you would like to rest your legs and an information board about the "wash dubs"
