This is a new trail along Tannery Brook that is still under construction
Cache: Ammo can with log, pencil and swag. There is a FTF prize in this one.
Cache Location: If you are coming from Westbrook on 25 take a right on to 202 before you hit the four way in downtown Gorham. You are looking for Wentworth Drive on the left which is the entrance for Gorham Savings Bank main offices. On the right before you turn into the bank lot is small section of roadway with parking for two vehicles on the left. Park at the parking coordinates and walk past the gate down the road.
The trail is open to the public by the Land Trust. On the way to the cache you will pass Tannery Brook #1. You will come to a clearing with small pond on the left and Tannery Brook on the right. There is a new picnic table near the pond where you can sit and take in the sights. There is a lot of wildlife around the brook. You will want to follow the road past the pond and up. The trail is on the left and marked by trail tape.
I have posted the trail coordinates for ease of locating the trail. The trail is still under construction. You will locate the cache before the trail ends. Once the trail is complete their will be more opportunities for viewing this beautiful area.
