the track to this cache is usually 2wd but may require a little clearance (a bit rocky).
No need to climb, but fun to try!An interesting looking chunk of stuff, we thought shared some resemblance to a large emu scat.Tchingal was the giant emu who chased War the crow through this part of the Grampians in a local Aborigonal legend. This story was told at a nearby art site, were you could see emu feet, crow feet, kangaroo tracks etc. This art site and the art itself seems to have degraded dramatically in recent times, very little of it being visible. It's still worth a look though, travel to the end of this track, then walk up the hill a short distance to the site.Note the smooth rock on the shelter floor, which is thought to be the crow turned to stone;local tribes people rubbed their hands over this stone and then themselves to transfer magic.A film of this story can be viewed at Brambuk in Halls Gap.
