The cache is an ammo box filled with goodies, a log, pen
and pencil.
This is another "Short Shot" cache that I placed on Fathers Day
2009 in the memory of my father Chuck Mack. His CB handle and work
nickname was "Short Shot". Dad was a very "short" man and he was a
"shot" fire or explosives technician. Chuck was born very close to
the site of this cache in 1931. He was born at home with the help
of a mid-wife. He was the 10th. child in a family of 11 kids. Mt.
Harris was at that time a very busy and quite modern mining
community. Please visit the informational kiosk located along the
highway to the east of this site. Be sure to find the cache there
too. The rim rocks above this cache were the childhood playground
of my dad, his brothers, and other local children. Dad had some
very fond memories of the time he spent on top. He told often of
roasting "borrowed" chickens over a campfire on the rim rocks. It
was a good thing Botulism had yet to be invented in those
days...![](http://www.geocaching.com/images/icons/icon_smile.gif)
