Easy small/micro in an historic location.
Entering service in 1882, Lateral 22 brought water to this desert area creating a boom in ranching and farming.
In 1912 Walter Gist Tolleson bought 160 acres, subdivided it, and sold the land to the future residents of Tolleson, AZ.
In the 1930s, Tolleson was known as 'The Vegetable Capital of the World'!
Lateral 22 is an important link to the history of the area. Come enjoy a nice shady walk along the canal!
In Autumn, you might even find a few pecans lying around.
