Manning Park has been long over due for a Night Cache! This one is for those you camp or stay in the Park over night. THIS CACHE CAN ONLY BE DONE IN THE DARK.
The posted cords will take you to the bridge at the end of the Cold Spring campground. This is one end of the Canyon Nature Trail. If you park on road to Lighting Lakes take the trail on the west side of the creek.
If you stand in the middle of the bridge, hold your flashlight at eye level and look into the forest. Headlamps work best. Can you see the fire tack? If you can't, walk along the trail away from the campground. Do you see it now? Follow the fire tack trail to the cache. When you find two trees with two tacks together the cache is near.
You are looking for a camo lock n lock container hiding from the muggles who walk the canyon trail.
This trail can be snowshoed in the winter months from the road to Lighting Lakes. Be prepared to dig in the snow.
