Szarvas is a nice city in Békés county in Southern-Hungary. It has ca. 20.000 inhabitants. Tourism is very important in the life of this city. Arborétum (botanical garden), Bolza-castle, Mitrovszky-castle and Ruzicskay-museum are very famous by the tourists.
Some reference points for the sightseeing:
1. N46°51,735' E20°32,972' 100 m At this point you can see a statue (half-length portrait) of a baron.
2. N46°51,808' E20°32,553' 100 m You can find a sundial on the southern side of the wall. Look up some meters! This is the building of the Academy (or College) of Agriculture.
3. N46°51,827' E20°32,502' 100 m At this point you can see a statue of a famous person, who revived the agriculture of the Great Hungarian Plain.
4. N46°51,708' E20°32,280' 99 m You can see the "Ruzicskay-alkotóház". There is a beautiful, long graphics on the wall. It's a museum, too.
THE CACHE:
N46°52,515' E20°31,667' 101 m The CACHE (near to the famous ARBORÉTUM (botanical garden, Pepi-kert) You can find the cache by a tree next to the street. Search at the other side of the tree. The cache is hidden with snubs, dead fallen leaves.
