ROSE MARIE 1935 *PLEASE READ*
This is a Historical cache and you will need a print out of this
cache description and take it with you, it will come in handy,
you’ll see. This is not a puzzle cache but some hints are in this
cache description. Nor is it a difficult cache but you will need to
use your noodle (brain) to figure out parts of it, and, it is not
“shocking” as it may first seem.
This cache is a COMBINATION of two historical events. One
is the history of Bay View Lodge, built in the early 1920’s and
burned to the ground in 1973. The next event was in 1935
when Hollywood came to Lake Tahoe for the filming of the musical
adventure story, Rose Marie, hence the cache name. Please enjoy
this cache. A lot of time, effort and fun was put into it. It has
some great old images from the 1920’s and the 1935 filming
of Rose Marie. There are also some comparative Now and Then
photos.
Our thanks to Tahoe1849er for helping us find the perfect cache
site!
