Geocache Description:

A wherigo cache at Buffalo's restored Commercial Slip.

NOTE, please be sure to use the newest version (1.4) of the cartridge!

This wherigo cache will take you on a tour of the restored section of Buffalo's Commercial Slip, the western terminus of the original Erie Canal.
when the remains of the slip were first "re-discovered" the plan was to study them and re-bury them and develop[ over the top. One person who favored that plan VS. restoring the area even went so far as to claim the the original rocks would "explode" if left exposed!. Fortunately, the preservationists prevailed, and the restored commercial slip is one of the key components of the long awaited renewal of Buffalo's waterfront district.
You will need to bring a pen or pencil and something to write down the completion code that will be displayed on your wherigo player at the end of the cartridge.

Your tour will start near the sail of the U.S.S. Boston, SSN 703, sister ship to The U.S.S. Buffalo SSN 715.

The cartridge has been tested on both the Garmin Colorado 300 and the Garmin Oregon running the latest software updates.
Please note in your log what device you used to complete the cartrdige.
