The Shropshire Way is a long distance footpath
that was devised by various Shropshire rambling groups in 1979/80.
The way began in the North of the county, and links with the
Sandstone Trail near Whitchurch, before taking a circular course
south of Shrewsbury.
The route is of 136 miles and includes
highlights such as the castles of Clun and Stokesay, the famous
industrial archaeology site of Ironbridge and the lovely old town
of Ludlow. The walking is magnificent throughout and not too
strenuous.
The Shropshire Way Series
The Shropshire Way series is a set of caches all
set on or very close to the Shropshire Way. Please feel free to add
to the series - all we ask is you name them in the same format as
the others in the series i.e. 'El Poste Perdido - Shropshire Way',
use
this background image and have this paragraph at the top of the
cache listing.
This series was inspired by Cape02, in
collaboration with The Pirates of Shropshire, The Bolas Heathens,
and The Shropshire Conquistadors.
El Poste Perdido
The cache is a regular sized ammo box on a very
quiet part of the Way.
