This is the first in a series where the cache may seem out of place in the current surroundings.
This cache is located along the 'Alyn Bernell Mile' portion of the newly opened section of the Monon Greenway. We were bicycling this section today and could not help but place a new cache.
You are looking for a camo'd container holding a plastic tube. This is a log only cache with no room for a pencil or trade items.
We have been carrying this container around for sometime just waiting for the right place to call home. You will understand the name of the cache once you have found it.
There is a paved parking lot at the intersection of Greyhound Pass Road and the Monon Greenway Trail. The cache itself is placed a few hundred feet south of parking along the paved trail. The cache is about 15 feet off the trail. Bushwacking will be minimal or at least it was today.
The trail can be very busy so please exercise the appropriate level of stealth to preserve the cache site for others.
Please limit your search to during daylight hours only as the trail is closed from dusk until dawn.
Westfield Parks and Recreation has approved this cache in it's present location. Westfield GeoCaching Permit No.7 was issued on March 28, 2011. The permit sticker will be added to designate this cache as an approved cache per Westfield Parks and Recreation guidelines.
Congrats to 'Team Tookie' for being FTF and getting to experience the new section of the Monon Greenway.
