Go West young man. Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

bittsen: It would appear that the cache evolved and either grew legs or gills.
There was substantial evidence that the flood of 2011 was, indeed, high enough to affect the cache. Though it was considered too heavy to be carried or to float, it's not where it should be and neither is all of the cover it once had (and a tree is missing too).
Either way it seems to have gone further West.

I shall archive this cache and remember it well.

Geocache Description:

Definately not wheelchair accessible but not too difficult terrain. Watch for mosquitos, spiders, chiggers and probably ticks too if you get down into the grass.

You can only access this area from the westbound lanes of I-84. Do not try to do it otherwise because you would have to cross 4 lanes of fast freeway.

I have often come to this boat ramp any time I am driving west. It used to have a dock but looks like that went bye bye. Time flies...
And speaking of flies, this is a great area to check to see if you are immune to mosquito bites. Lots of the little vampires around out here so be forewarned.

Please trade items and such. I have added a few starters and hope to keep the trading going. There is plenty of room for a few travel bugs and other trackables, including larger items.

Bring a pen. I just realized I forgot to put one in. Please let me know if the cache needs maintenance.

You are looking for a larger container but if its returned to the original spot and cover, you won't see it. I still think it should be an easy find. If you find the cache exposed at all, please add some camo. There is a lot available.

The trail you are on is a dual purpose trail. Fishermen use it for bank fishing and the animals travel it as well. I have seen deer in this area in the past but wouldn't rule out a less docile creature. I have also spotted recent ground disturbance from a digger of some sort (unrelated to the cache, no digging is necessary). I ran into a larger snake when placing the cache.

There won't be a lot of need for bushwacking except the trail gets overgrown a little from time to time. You will likely encounter spider webs to the face.

Enjoy
