Geocache Description:

A circular walk, following the Staffordshire Moorlands Walk, all caches are on or very close to the Moorlands Walk. Actual walking time is around two hours covering a total distance of almost five miles, taking in great views. The suggested parking is at the Brough Park Leisure Centre in Leek where there is plenty of free parking; the suggested parking for the series is on this cache as a waypoint.

From the parking coords walk between the swimming pool and the children’s play area. Continue until the skateboard park is to your left and follow the footpath to the right before the first house. Your GPS will now lead the way to the cache, which is very close to the path, go just beyond and come down. If you wish to visit our Stile cache carry on down the steps. The park is named after William Brough who gave a little over 10 acres to the town in 1913. Due to the First World War work on the park was delayed with it finally opened by the Chairman of the Urban District Council on 21 June 1924. Bands play at the recently restored bandstand on Sunday afternoons. This is a very popular walking route and also a popular area with the local youngsters so please re-hide the cache well. Just around the corner is the lake and your first view: Photobucket
