An easy cache for a hot summer day.
When the summer turns hot, as the temperature is now hovering near 100 degrees, our thoughts turn from geocaching to a little wave action.Take a dip in nearby Bull Shoals Lake. There aren't enough big waves for surfing, but you can boat,ski, swim and fish in the cooling waters. When you've cooled down, there are several caches in the area.
This cache is placed on private property, with the owner's permission. It is not wheelchair accessible because a paved sidewalk will not lead you to the cache. But the grass is cut and the walk is over fairly level ground. There are three buildings here; one a is a home and the other two are part of a business. You might feel like you are walking on the front lawn, but that's okay. The owners already know you are on the property. Say hello to Dave and Cindy if they come out to greet you.
Because this cache is near a residence, please seek it only during daylight hours. Many thanks to the Theodosia Area Chamber of Commerce for their enthusiastic support of geocaching.
Original contents of the cache include: a tiny jigsaw puzzle, golfball, matchbox car, luggage tag, collectible 1997 Fair St. Louis pin, heart-shaped carabiner clip, Variety Club heart shaped pin, wrist band, calculator, sun catcher, bulldozer toy, plastic slinky, glow in the dark octopus and an Uncle Sam pin.
