Geocache Description:

Corner of Little River Road and Route 20. Cache could be wheel chair friendly by reaching over the guard rail from the side walk. Push the walk button to carefully cross the intersection.

Magnetic. Room only for log sheet and a small pencil.

Last year I had a cache based on the monument that was moved here to make room for the Great River Bridge project in downtown Westfield. Monument is dedicated to Frank P.Wojtkiewicz, Dec. 7, 1941 who died on the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbour.

When I stopped to check it out I found another stone marker nearby. In 1640 a trading house stood in Hill's. 1668 first tavern stood near here and the date 1913.

The stone is a little hard to understand and I checked Westfield history online and didn't get much help.
