Geocache Description:

Farbach-Werner is a small nature preserve nestled in the heart of Colerain Township. It sits alongside Colerain Ave, north of Ronald Reagan, and south of I-275. Just down the road 3 blocks is my favorite Mexican restaurant, "Las Ponchos". And right across the street is where I bought my geomobile.

The park has a gift shop and nature center. It has a butterfly garden and a bamboo forest. It has a pond with an upside-down sign, that when seen reflected in the pond, reads, "THE POND". The pond is full of turtles. I saw a grand-daddy turtle today that must have had a 2-ft long shell on it. The park has some wierd looking trees, too! There are some nice nature trails, mostly paved and pleasant to walk. Most of the trails are wheelchair friendly. There is also a trailhead from the back corner of the adjacent church parking lot.

You're looking for a good-sized Lock 'n Lock container just off the trail. This is a typical Catlon classic. There is a bench close by - take a break as you peruse the container. As in all wooded areas there may be poison ivy. I tried placing the cache in a safe area.

Park Permit # 090609-1.
