Heartbreak "Travel Bug" Hotel Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

GibsonGang: This one was our first and a lot of fun but need to archive. It was muggled and just haven't had the time to replace it. This spring, we will put a new cache near the area. Thanks to all that visited Hearbreak "Travel Bug" Hotel.

Geocache Description:

This cache is the first in a series dedicated to the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. This is our first cache, and is dedicated to Elvis's first number one hit, Heartbreak Hotel.

On January 10, 1956, Elvis made his first recordings for RCA in Nashville. The session produced "Heartbreak Hotel/I Was The One" which was released on January 27. The public reaction to "Heartbreak Hotel" prompted RCA to release it as a single in its own right on February 11. By April it had hit number one in the US, selling in excess of 1 million copies.

ELVIS ROCKS

This cache is a medium sized lock n lock travel bug hotel located just outside the Stonegate Neighborhood (can be accessed from inside the neighborhood and parking on the street is fine). Please use stealth from micro mugglers and nearby tennis courts. We are starting it out with some geocoins, some travel bugs, a few toys, and 3 dollar coins for the FTF. May we suggest going by the General Store inside the Stonegate Neighborhood for some great ice cream or coffee between caches.

Congrats to Hockey97 for the FTF and IndianaJoans for a very close 2nd.
