Ammo Can in the Woods Traditional Cache
Tobias & Petronella: The trail and the environment in which the cache was hiding has changed a lot recently which means it's time to let this spot go.

This is not a quick park and grab. It is, however, a nice stroll on a well-defined path through a wooded environment.
The title says it all. This is for those who would like a nice, simple walk in the woods. This is a 2 terrain due to a slight incline with small patches of soft, damp dirt due to runoff. There is at least one spot where you have to step up and over a permanent obstacle that is about 6-8 inches in height and the occasional small branch or vine crossing the trail. During the rainy season and snowy season, the trail will most likely be a little slippery, so please consider this a 2.5 to maybe 3 terrain during those seasons.
At no time do your feet need to leave the trail. The ammo can is hidden from view, but within reach.
Please obey all the rules that are posted at the trailhead. This area is closed after dark.

Please be careful when looking for this cache. The cache is not in or around a stump. If you read the logs you will know where to look. Use care when moving any plant life or vegetation at any time for this or any other cache. If more deterioration takes place we will be forced to move it or disable it. Thank you for your care.
Update 7/29/10 - There are signs of trail maintenance. The spot where the cache was hidden looks like it got hit with a weed whacker. I found the cache on the ground exposed with a few pieces of fern covering it and some of the camo also is missing. The ammo can has been moved about 5 feet to the west for now.
