The Bally Cache Rally Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

EYEBRIGHT: It's hard to believe it is nearly three weeks since the BCR. I hope we all have many happy memories of the day - by the sound of it another similar event would not go amiss - now, there's a nice challenge for a group of geocaching friends elsewhere in the Province. Thanks for the kind comments - we enjoyed meeting everyone - as one of the logs said "What a great bunch of people we cachers are". Of course, the success of the day is really down to the fact that everyone entered into the spirit of things - oh, and the weather helped too.
Happy Caching,

Geocache Description:

Meet at 10.00am, Saturday, 12th September 2009 in Kilbride Presbyterian Church Hall which is located beside the Moyra Road, about 1 mile north of the village of Doagh, Co. Antrim.

You are invited to join a geocachers' day out centred on Kilbride, a town land overlooking the Sixmilewater Valley. The Event will start with refreshments in the church hall which has an excellent range of facilities including plentiful parking - enjoy a cuppa with a hot pancake whilst chatting with other cachers. The purpose of the Event is to create an opportunity for cachers to meet and to provide an enjoyable few hours exploring the surrounding countryside - a wide range of caches are already available and new ones especially written for the Event will be published following refreshments. We hope to have at least 8 new caches with details about these contained on a print out. The organisers, (a group of geocaching friends from the Kilbride area) are keen to ensure there is something to suit all those who pursue this zany activity and have designed a special badge for those attending. Cachers are invited back to the church hall for a BBQ at approximately 4.30pm - the usual beef burger, bap and sausage sizzle - and another chance for a bit of craic. There will be a small charge for the BBQ (£2.00 - adults; £1.00 - children). It would be helpful if cachers hoping to attend would state numbers in their "Will Attend Log" and confirm if they intend to come to the BBQ. To record attendance simply turn up for either early morning refreshments or the afternoon BBQ - though, of course, we hope you will join us for both.
